Using these search criteria, we have begun to assess the antibacterial and antifungal activity in vitro to the drug Influvin produced Erbenobili srl (Corato – Bari) in Italy. To perform the experimental part has provided us with a sample Influvina, part of which is stored in the laboratory. The experimental part was devoted to determining biostability and bactericidal product 7 Gram negative and Gram positive bacterial strains, and 3 strains of fungi belonging to the species Candida albicans.
Used strains of bacteria and fungi were obtained from an international meeting, and partly from clinical strains obtained in recent laboratory of bacteriology and mycology professor Maria Teresa Montagna (Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Human Oncology). The results obtained in the tests using microorganisms:

Quantitative analysis of the product were determined by serial dilutions (microdilution) in accordance with the procedures CLSI * M27-A2 and CLSI * M7 A6. Cultivation was carried out in the culture medium Mueller-Hinton for bacteria or RPMI-solution for the fungi. Organisms settle on a microtiter plate, after which they were allowed to grow for 24 hours at 37 ° C in contact with the test product. The drug is provided for testing, and diluted 1: 2 and 1: 5. The latter is widely used, since it is consistent with the recommendations of the manufacturer. Particular attention was paid to the presence of ethanol in the formulation (as it is known that alcohol itself can provide bactericidal action). We have analyzed the bactericidal effect of the alcohol, which has demonstrated its effect in Influvina solutions used in the tests. Analysis was performed by the verification of growth compared to the positive control in the absence of product.
Gas Chromatography – mass spectrometry: Product Analysis Conducted in the gas phase organic substances diluted: Terpene alcohols (7.2%), phenol (72.5%) and hydrocarbons (4.5%). For the first two classes of antimicrobial activity characteristic components, which is also referred to in the international literature.
The drug is effective against both bacteria and against fungi. In general, the drug upon dilution in a ratio from 1:16 to 1:64, he continued to have a pronounced bactericidal and antimicrobial effects. Our experiment also revealed a strong bactericidal and fungicidal activity at a dilution of 1: 2-1: 5 and up to 1:64, underscoring a pronounced antimicrobial action Influvina even at high dilution.
The final Conclusion
The analysis of data obtained in a study conducted in respect Influvina manufactured by Erbenobili srl of Corato (Bari), leads to the following conclusions:
a) The product has antibacterial and antimicrobial action, which greatly reduced by dilution to 1:64.
b) Bacterial and fungicidal effect is maintained at an optimal level when diluted up to 1:16.
in) Lovely antimitotic effect against C. albicans. Note aspect unrelated to secondary pathology, i.e. fact that the microorganism can be present at mouth.
Based on the results of the final analysis Influvina during in vitro tests, we confirm that the product is a herbal supplement indicated for use as a disinfectant and antiseptic in the case of diseases of body and mouth.
